StoryMakers: Indigenous American 250 Summer Internship will be an unforgettable research experience.

With multiple research centers and archives that steward collections related to Indigenous history, the city of Philadelphia is an ideal place to learn. This six-week paid internship for young and emerging professionals includes a stipend, travel, and accommodations at a college campus. We encourage people 18-30 (and up to 35 if veteran status) to apply. Interns will spend four weeks in residence in Philadelphia and two weeks collaborating remotely.

If you are interested in careers in archives, libraries and museums, and educational and cultural organizations, please apply.

Successful applicants will:

  • Learn archival research techniques

  • Share research with a range of community and educational audiences

  • Work with Native American and Indigenous Studies (NAIS) academic experts and community knowledge holders

  • Study NAIS theories and methods
